What we collect

Make It Fit has no accounts, no sign-up and no contact forms. We do not ask you for personal information, and measurements you enter into a calculator are used to produce a result and are not sent to us or stored by us.

As with any website, the hosting provider that serves these pages processes standard technical request data such as IP address, browser type and the page requested, in order to deliver the site and keep it secure.

Cookies and analytics

Make It Fit sets no cookies of its own, and we have installed no analytics or tracking scripts.

Advertising is the exception. Ad providers set and read their own cookies when ads are served, which is described in the next section along with the choices you have about it.

Advertising

Make It Fit is funded by advertising. We use Google AdSense, so Google and its advertising partners act as third-party vendors on this site. The terms below describe how that advertising works and apply whenever ads are being served on these pages.

Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this site or other sites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to Make It Fit and other sites on the internet. These cookies are set and read by those vendors rather than by us: we do not control them, we do not receive the personal data they collect, and we cannot see who you are from them.

Serving an ad also involves your device sending standard technical information to the ad provider, such as your IP address, browser and the page the ad appeared on. Measurements you type into a calculator are not part of that — they stay in your browser and are never passed to an advertising provider.

Your advertising choices

You can opt out of personalised advertising without losing access to anything here — every calculator and guide works the same either way. Opting out stops ads being tailored to you; it does not stop ads appearing.

• Turn off personalised Google ads in Google My Ad Center.
• Opt out of personalised advertising from a wider list of vendors at aboutads.info or, in Europe, Your Online Choices.
• Block or delete cookies in your browser's own settings. That applies to every site you visit, not just this one.

When ads are served to visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, consent is collected for the advertising cookies that require it before those cookies are set, and can be changed or withdrawn afterwards. Withdrawing it does not remove ads — it limits them to non-personalised ones.

Google describes what it collects from sites that use its services in its own policy.

Pages may link to external sites such as manufacturers or retailers. We are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices — check their own policies before sharing information with them.
